Motorized Fishing Kayaks From Connecticut, Minnesota, Massachusetts and South Korea

It’s a breakthrough. Period.

Kayak anglers are outfitting their fishing kayaks with outboard gas engines, and by this they’re extending their fishing range by a factor of 10, and increasing the time they can actually fish in a new location, instead of paddling there… Plus they can fish on days where the weather isn’t very cooperative, knowing they can drive their kayak back to the launching spot and be there ASAP!

Interestingly, having a small outboard motor on your W500 kayak doesn’t prevent from paddling quietly – All you have to do is lift the propeller…

The first to start this trend was Sungjin, from Wavewalk Korea kayaks, Here’s the latest story, from South Korea, about an offshore kayak fishing trip with two kayaks, one of which is motorized >>

Tip: Rox had more time to fish, since she didn’t have to paddle to her favorite fishing spots…

And this another exciting video showing Gary, from Minnyaks fishing kayaks, in Minnesota, testing a W500 kayak that he outfitted with a 3hp outboard, which seems a bit excessive for such a small, lightweight craft:

And last but not least, a W500 outfitted with a 2hp 4-cycle Honda outboard:
